The HORTOSOL Premium Heat mat is especially designed for the use with propagators and terrariums and uses the technology of long-wave infrared radiation. This simulates heat from natural sunlight and mainly heats objects and living things. Thus, due to the indirect thermal radiation there is only a small increase in the ambient temperature which has a positive effect of an almost constant relative humidity. To meet the high requirements, the heat mat is covered all over with a protective conductor and is made of water- and rotproof PVC.

To avoid any heat accumulation add the supplied spacers to the bottom of your propagator or terrarium. After that position the heat mat below it. For use with a terrarium place the heat mat only under a part of the floor. This allows the animal to choose between different temperatures on its own.
